Family, a curse or a great benefactor only each individual can honestly tell which is the case. My immediately family is a joy a relaxing time for me to bond with my wife of 13 years and share lifes moments and tribulations. Some days are good and some not so good yet the majority are great. We discuss we argue, we discuss why we argued and then resolve the issues before saying goodnight and nevre go to bed mad or upset with one another.
My distant family is another matter some are so self centered they can only relate to what they require or how they must borrow or take from others to survive. One member is so dependent upon support from the US government he has ceased to exist as a self reliant person and has as a result disowned the entire family. The others are so consummed with the negative aspects of life the have lost sight of the better side of life. They never look for the brighter side of life only the negative impacts and how they can perpetuate the negative to give them a sense of existance.
I call them "Drama Queens" something is always wrong.
As a result of their self inflicted wounds I have distanced myself from them soi as not to drag my wife and I into their acts of self destructive drama. It was a hard decision to distance mysely yet a necessity for me to maintain my mental well being and the happiness of my wife and my dog Hank.
I believe strongly in self effacing prophecy and will not allow myself to be brought down by their behavior.
My wife and my dog are my immediate family and yes we have found happiness.

Stress in the Classroom
Here I go again, the daily demands of job interfering with the attendance of class.
On one hand I am told by my employer an given the ok to attend college classes. Then in actuality work prohibits me from attending the very same classes I was told I could attend. My stress level went right through the roof. How do I cope with the stress? Many would turn to alcohol, drugs, self badgering and self consternation. I chose to simply face the facts of life and discuss things with my instructor, forgo the relaxing pastimes I do in life to help relief stress and simply study as I can and complete my work in all my available spare time. One thing that is amazing is the chapter on stress relief tells of methods to help aleviate stress and how to use differing coping mechanisms to prevent the psycological and physical implications of stress.
I chose to remain positive, find time to relax, seek medical treatment for injuries I sustained in the Army and rely on support of friends and family. It was simply amazing that the study of stress and the affects it has on the human mind and physical well being were studied right when I needed it most. I simply used direct contact with the sources of my stress to help alleviate the problem. I discussed my work schedule with my boss and my computer difficulties with instructors. I explained my missing several classes as a work related issue and continued to reconcile the issues until resolved.
My employer has ensured me my college will not be interfered with except when Federal Court appearances demand my precense. My instructors are working with me to aleviate my work load and scheduling issues. Will this relieve stress?
I shall observe and watch, seeking ways to make all aspects of work and education come together and to alleviate my stress levels by logical analysis, exercise and finding time to shut down and relax.

Why am I interested in Personal Psycology? Studying my inner self!
Interpersonal Psycology is an interesting field in the simple perspective of it making one look inward. Numerous times throught my personal life I have had to make decisions and adjustment as to how to approach my life an the manner in which I deal with lifes challenges. Weither it is dealing with friends, close business associates or the public in general how I look upon myself is a direct reflection as to how I look upon others. My personality has always been extroverted, I have never been shy or afraid of social contact. Public speaking has never been a problem and I actually enjoy talking with others. I am usually positive in attitude and make every attempt to be conscientious in my dealing with others to be forthwright and equal in my assesment and treatment of others.
This assesment process I undertake makes me somewhat agreeable yet not naive in my actions to what others say and believe. I attempt to be open and receiving with regard to the input of others yet having travelled the world I am somewhat opinionated with regard to how the world actually looks upon the actions of my country and how they address my country. I have a very strong sense of myself and when I see weakness or what I perceive to be naivity (learned knowledge from CNN, NBC, ABC or Public TV or Radio as factual representation) I do become defensive and somewhat condecending. I often say to myself "This person is a clone of the reports as relayed on CNN or other networks." Do they actually think for themselves? This is a thought process I must be self aware of and watch over to insure I donot squash intelligent debate and consideration.

Interpersonal Psycology- Self Worth
I created this blog out of a sense of curiousity. My curious self wonders just what do people really think of theselves upon deep reflection and searching within? Are people really happy with themselves as they truly are or are they merely living life as they believe others percieve them. Does a big house, fancy cars, elaborate living and a big career make them feel complete?
Please take a moment to reflect inward and be truly honest with yourselves and ask the following:
1. Am I truly happy with my life as I am living it now?
2. What would I change?
3. What would I not change?
4. Am I happy in my relations to others?
5 Am I happy with my relationship with myself?
6. Am I where I want to be?
7. If not where I want to be, just where do I go from here?
